Federal and local authorities are conducting an investigation at a Cedar Rapids food supplier.

Pete Deegan, spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office, confirms federal and local authorities are at 1105 60th Avenue SW for official business.

Midamar Corporation is located at 1105 60th Avenue SW.  They are an international supplier of Halal foods which are foods allowed under Islamic dietary guidelines.

A call to Midamar's press contact, Sara Sayed, has not been returned.
