Simulated car accident drill closes some roads in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

People traveling through Cedar Rapids may notice some road closures.

That's because the fire department and area ambulance service will be conducting a drill.

The simulated traffic accidents allows both agencies to practice using an incident command system to manage the situation.

From noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, 4th street between M and O Avenues Northwest will be closed.

N Avenue between 3rd and 5th Streets Northwest will also be closed.
