Weisman absent from Hawkeye depth chart

Posted:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Mark Weisman's injury may be worse than initially thought.  The Hawkeye running back was noticeably missing from Iowa's depth chart when it was released Monday morning.  Freshman Greg Garmon was listed as the #1 tailback for the Penn State game, while Jordan Canzeri was listed in the back-up role.

Weisman injured his ankle during a final minute touchdown run that sent the Hawkeyes and Spartans in to overtime.  After the game, while in a walking boot, he downplayed the injury and fully expected to suit up this Saturday.

More answers will likely be available on Tuesday when Kirk Ferentz holds his weekly press conference.
