UPDATE: Cedar Rapids woman dies in Cedar Falls accident

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Rapids woman was killed after her car collided with a semi in Cedar Falls Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Viking Road and Highway 58 shortly after 4 p.m.

Cedar Falls police 20-year-old Karli Hilgenberg was turning left from southbound Highway 58 to Viking Road when her vehicle was struck by a semi and trailer that was northbound on Highway 58.

Officers say Hilgenberg was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
