ISU ranked 24th in BCS standings

The Iowa State football team found themselves in the #24 spot in the first BCS rankings released Sunday night. Alabama and Florida claimed the top 2 spots.

Seven different Big 12 teams were represented in the first rankings. Kansas State is the top conference team currently ranked 4th. The Wildcats knocked off the Cyclones 27-21 on Saturday in Ames.

The BCS standings are determined by a compilation of the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Harris Interactive Poll and a composite of computer ratings.
