IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa City West continues to roll toward the playoffs.

The Trojans scored early and often in a 71-14 drubbing of Cedar Rapids Jefferson.

The J-Hawks looked to put up a fight early.  Trojan quarterback Nate Boland was intercepted on the first play of the game by his counterpart Layne Sullivan.

On 3rd and 10, Jefferson scored first on a half back pass.  Michael Moncivais hit Blak Bernauer on a 30 yard play to put the J-Hawks up 7-0.

West would storm back.

Ezra Reiners scored on a one yard run to tie the game.

Then, with the Trojans up 14-7, Reid Bonner returned a punt for the second straight week for a touchdown.

Reiners added a 27 yard touchdown run before the half to take a 29-7 lead

With the win, West clinches the Mississippi Division.

West will play Waterloo East next week in the regular season finale.
