Accident at eastern IA intersection with new safety signs

SPRINGVILLE (KWWL) -

A notorious intersection saw yet another accident Friday night, just days after the Iowa DOT installed new safety signs.

The two-car crash happened around 8 Friday night at Highway 151 and Springville Road in Linn County's Springville.

This intersection has seen approximately 30 crashes since 2001.

The Iowa Department of Transportation installed safety signs this week to help avoid accidents like this one.

One person went to the hospital, but is expected to live.
