Waterloo teacher placed on administrative leave pending investigation

A Waterloo elementary teacher has been placed on administrative leave over allegations of mistreating a student..

District spokesperson Sharon Miller confirms that Jennifer Witte was placed on leave pending an investigation.

Miller wouldn't specify why-- just that the investigation was concerning "her job performance".

But the parents of a five-year-old told the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier that Witte used a belt to restrain their child.
