Police ask for help in finding Iowa City burglary suspect

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is asking for help in finding a man who is a suspect in several area burglaries.

Anthony Terrell Shields, 46, is wanted on outstanding warrants related to burglary, theft, and criminal mischief and is a suspect in several area burglaries.

Shields is an African-American male, 5'6 and approximately 150 lbs. He was last known to be living in the Iowa City and North Liberty area.

Anyone with information about Shields is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). You could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward if your information leads to the arrest of Shields.  All calls are held in strict confidence and anonymity is guaranteed.

Police ask that you do not attempt to approach or apprehend Shields.
