CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

A boy riding his bike home from school says a man in a white van coaxed him to get in.

Cedar Falls police confirm what the 9-year-old's mom told KWWL, that he was a few blocks from home when it happened at the corner of 10th and Tremont Streets near Lincoln Elementary School just before 4 p.m. Thursday.

The boy said the man asked him if he needed a ride and wanted some chocolate.  When the boy rode away, the van drove off.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20's with a red beard.  He was wearing a black baseball cap and driving a large white van with black on the front.
