Cheryl Kramer plays pool at the table her husband got to mark her five years as a breast cancer survivor.
DUBUQUE (KWWL) -
In honor of breast cancer awareness month, a man surprised his wife with a pink pool table.
The man, Bill Kramer, owns Cue Masters Billiards in Dubuque. His wife Cheryl is a five-year breast cancer survivor.
Earlier this month, Kramer unveiled the pink table, to his wife's surprise, to celebrate her five-year mark and help other women with breast cancer.
All the proceeds from that table this month will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to help other women with treatment.
"What do their families do if they can't afford that? It can be a terminal illness, as we all know," Kramer said. "That's what I'm hoping to do, is just pay it forward to help the people out that aren't as lucky as we are to have the insurance."
The Kramers plan to frame the pink cloth after the month is over.
Cue Masters Billiards is holding a tournament on Saturday, Oct. 20 to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
It's a Scotch Doubles 8-ball tournament, costing $40 per team of four. People looking for more information can contact Cue Masters Billiards at 563-557-0875.
