WATERLOO (KWWL) -
Kristin Schwickerath is a 31-year-old North Liberty woman with a lot of life left to live.
When a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis came two years ago, shortly after the birth of her child, she had to endure treatment only to be told the cancer had spread to her bones.
There is no recovery from metastatic breast cancer. It means that the patient is on treatments for the rest of their life.
But Kristin's positive attitude and willingness to educate others about a lesser-known form of the disease are a testament to her fighting spirit.
Kristin invites you to visit her blog by clicking here. For more information about metastatic breast cancer, go to http://mbcn.org/.
