The Iowa State football team is ranked for the first time since 2005. The Cyclones debuted at #25 in the coach's poll. They remain just outside the A.P. top 25, sitting 3rd in the others receiving votes category.
The Cyclones drew national attention with a 37-23 win at #13 TCU on Saturday. The win was the first on the road over a top 15 team since 1977. With the victory, Iowa State has also knocked off a rated opponent in 3 consecutive years for the first time in school history.
The Cyclones play host to #5 Kansas State on Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium.
