Jones Co. man drowns after boat capsizes

A Jones County man has died and another man is injured after their boat capsized Sunday morning on the Wapsipinicon River.  The Jones Co. Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Wylie Treadway of Wyoming and 60-year-old Douglas Berkhoff of Davenport were fishing from a small boat in the river about 5 miles south of Wyoming when the boat hung up on a tree snag.  As they tried to free it, the boat capsized.  Both men were wearing heavy coveralls and did not have on life jackets.  Emergency crews were able to rescue Berkhoff and take him to a Maquoketa Hospital.  Treadway was pronounced dead at the scene.
