SUMNER (KWWL) -

Sumner-Fredericksburg scored two first-half touchdowns then held on to beat Denver in a Class A District 4 matchup Friday night.

Brady Meyer scored the first TD on a 23-yard TD run in the 1st quarter.

Later, Bryce Elliott would dive for the goal line on a 4-yard TD run to make it 14-0.

Denver RB Chase Shedenhelm ran it in for a TD on a direct snap late in the 2nd quarter but it wasn't enough.

Sumner-Fredericksburg continues its playoff hunt with a 20-6 homecoming win over Denver.
