BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -
A 25-year-old man who broke out of the Black Hawk County jail has been sentenced to prison.
Jeremy Mask of Traer has been given 15 years for escape burglary, robbery and operating a vehicle without consent. He was in jail on a previous robbery charge and was awaiting trial.
You may remember in July, Mask broke out of jail by sneaking down a fire escape during a construction project.
Mask was captured the next day after a chase by law enforcement. Mask was also sentenced to ten years in prison for stealing prescription pills from a Tama County pharmacy after his escape.
