Job seeking seminar being held in Dubuque

In today's competitive job market, employers are looking for applicants with the skills, training/education, community service and customer service to fit their company culture.  Job seekers are being challenged to use a variety of job search methods, update their skills and education, develop professional resumes and cover letters and sharpen their innovative skills.

If you're beginning your job search, thinking about a career change, or have been frustrated with your job search results, Iowa Workforce Development can help with an upcoming workshop.  It's being held October 10th from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at IowaWorks, NICC Town Clock Center for Professional Development at 680 Main Street in Dubuque, second floor rooms 231 and 232.

A five-member human resources panel representing multiple industry sectors including IT, advanced manufacturing, healthcare and professional and service sectors will be offering tips to job seekers.

The seminar is free and pre-registration is not required.
