AMES (KWWL) -
Steele Jantz only managed to throw for 73 total yards, and the Cyclone quarterback's inability to move the ball cost Iowa State in a 24-13 loss to Texas Tech.
The Cyclone defense held the Red Raiders to 25 points below their season average. Linebacker A.J. Klein added a defensive score returning a Seth Doege interception 87 yards. The pick six was the 4th of his career tying an NCAA linebacker record.
Offensively, the Cyclones only touchdown came early in the second half as Jantz hit Ernst Brun on a five yard strike. Texas Tech's Doege countered throwing for 331 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Red Raiders win.
