North Tama remains unbeaten against Gladbrook-Reinbeck


North Tama remains unbeaten against Class A competition and is now riding a five game winning streak after taking on the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels. The Rebels were also unbeaten against Class A teams until the Red Hawks came to town.

After trading a couple of defensive stops, the Red Hawks started their second possession of the first quarter with quarterback Jacob Wrage calling his own number and would take it around the left side 12-yards to the Rebel's 30-yard line.

Two plays later Wrage threw to Brent Billerbeck for a 16-yard pick up. The seventh play of the drive took Wrage rolling to his left to find Mitchel Boerm for an eight yard TD grab. The extra point was good and the Red Hawks led 7-zip with 2:14 left in the first.

The Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels would get things going on their third possession on the back of Chase Clark. Clark took the ball up the middle and down the sidelines for a 46-yard pick up beginning at the Rebel's 38-yard line.

Three plays later and at the start of the second quarter Clark would take it around the right side for a one yard touchdown. The extra point was good, tying the game 7-all.

Then after trading two defensive stops, the Red Hawks would start on the Rebel's 45. Two plays later Wrage hooked up with Billerbeck for an 18-yard pick up. Then on the 4th play of the drive, Dalton Hume scored his first of many touchdowns for the night. The Red Hawks go up 14 to 7 and never look back....pounding the Rebels 48 to 10.
