Dubuque Senior has gotten the league's attention - the Rams are for real.
Senior forced five City High turnovers en route to a 21-0 road win at Bates Field, and in the process improved to 5-1.
Senior's Mitch Mcelmeel made a great play to down a punt at the three yard line in the second quarter, changing the complexion of the game.
Then senior Alex Duster took over.
On the ensuing drive Duster ran the ball 13 yards to the goaline. Two plays later, Duster got into the endzone for the game's first score. Senior led 7-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Brook Anderson picked off City High's Tyler Stika and returned it 26 yards.
That would set up Duster again on 4th and 1, the senior ran determined, breaking tackles and scoring from 23 yards out. Senior led 14-0 in the third quarter.
City High's efforts to get back in the game were thwarted by turnovers. A fourth quarter fumble by Xavier Washpun was recovered by Parker Hammel.
