Iowa farmland prices up despite drought

Despite the damaging drought, Iowa farmland prices continue to soar. A new survey shows prices have risen an average of 7.7% since March. The average is about $7,900 an acre.

A spokesman with the Iowa Farm and Land Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute say much of the increase demand has come since July, when the severe drought became apparent in Iowa.
