CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
Kids in Cedar Rapids will be able to play in a different kind of playground next year.
Transamerica employees started building an urban garden off G Avenue today.
The garden will also host a natural playground where kids can walk paths while picking fresh fruits and vegetables.
"We have a philosophy around health, welfare, and education, which this would then encompass a lot of that," said Lon Olejniczk, Senior Vice President.
Transamerica is working in partnership with Matthew 25 Ministry Hub to build the playground.
