Dike-New Hartford's big frontline proves to be too much as the unbeaten Wolverines handle Waverly-Shell Rock 3-1 in a matchup of defending state volleyball champions.
Dike-New Hartford, number one in Class 2A fell into a 6-1 hole in the first set to the Go-Hawks ranked number 4 in Class 4A. But the Wolverines stormed back eventually winning the first set 25-23. Waverly-Shell Rock took the second set 25-23 before the Wolverines took the final next two sets 25-16 and 25-20.
