UPDATE: Name released in Grundy County fatal accident

GRUNDY COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Grundy County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a 20-year-old New Hartford man who died following a single vehicle crash.

Sheriff Rick Penning says Sam Gerloff died after he failed to negotiate a curve and his truck went into a ditch and rolled at the intersection of 250th St. and Y Ave., about 3 miles northeast of Reinbeck. Penning says Gerloff was thrown from the truck.

Penning says the accident was discovered and reported to them at around 9:00 a.m. Sunday.

The accident remains under investigation.
