MANCHESTER (KWWL) -

The first half was a roller-coaster, but top ranked Decorah took control in the 2nd to cruise past #10 West Delaware 37-13.  The Vikings remained perfect on the season with the victory.

The game looked like it might get out of hand early as Decorah's Andy Hovden sacked Brent Lammers in the end zone for the safety on the first drive of the game.  Josey Jewell added touchdown runs of 2 and 89 yards as the Vikings would lead 16-0 after the first quarter.

West Delaware didn't back down.  Senior Ryan Dudak busted out 2 big touchdown runs of 70 and 80 yards as the Hawks pulled within 3 just before the half.

Decorah, however, finished scoring 21 unanswered points.  Quarterback Jacob Kvale snuck in for the first score, then hit Michael Peter on a 34 yard pass to put the Vikings on top 30-13 after 3 quarters.  Drew Schwartz added the capper with a 26 yard run on an inside reverse.
