WATERLOO (KWWL) -

It was a happy homecoming for Waterloo West as the Wahawks outscored Cedar Rapids Washington 40-30. With the win the Wahawks improved to 2-3.

West High scored on its first possession on Rashon Burrell's 4 yard touchdown run. The Wahawks built a 13-3 lead before the Warriors found the end zone right before halftime on a touchdown pass from Mitch Blades to Jason Oney which made it 13-10 at intermission.
