IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

One man was injured and another arrested after a shooting near the Proctor and Gamble plant in Iowa City Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to 2200 Lower Muscatine Road just after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a shooting.

According to criminal complaints, 20-year-old Kenny Ardon-Hernandez of Iowa City pointed a gun at three men while he was in a van with another man, a woman and the woman's two-year-old daughter.

After the driver of the van sped away, police say Ardon-Hernandez shot the driver in the leg and then threw the gun into a field.

The driver of the van was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ardon-Hernandez was arrested.  He is charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, first degree harassment, carrying weapons, possession of a firearm as a felon and child endangerment.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. If you have any additional information, call Iowa City police.
