CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
The American Cancer Society needs you.
The agency is looking for volunteers ages 30 to 65 to take part in a huge cancer prevention study.
At a Cedar Rapids news conference Tuesday media representatives joined in spreading the word about the goal of signing up 800 people.
"We've done some great things to help people who are going through a cancer battle or other programs and services that make a difference in their lives, but this is the most important thing we've done to directly fight the disease of cancer," said Chuck Reed with the American Cancer Society.
To sign up for the on-line survey and required appointment at one of four Cedar Rapids locations, go to this website www.cps3cedarrapids.org .
Again you have to be 30-65 years old and never diagnosed with cancer.
The study will be done for 20-30 years and invite Iowans in the Waterloo-area eventually.
