CORALVILLE (KWWL) -
The Coralville Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man they say was involved in a shooting on September 2.
Chief Barry Bedford says that officers were called to the 700 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a gunshot. Bedford says that a short time later, someone showed up at the University of Iowa Emergency Trauma Center with a gunshot wound.
Bedford says the investigation determined that a domestic situation turned into a fight that escalated into a shooting.
Police believe that a man who goes by the name of "Wooda" or Woodee" is connected with this shooting.
If you have seen this man, contact the Coralville Police Department or Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers. You may be eligible for up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to the identification of this suspect.
