DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Monday Governor Branstad announced speakers for the "Bullying Prevention Summit", set for November 27th at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines.

Speakers will include the CEO and president of the "Internet Keep Safe Coalition", the author of the book that served as the basis for the movie "Mean Girls", and the Iowa Department of Education Director.

The Governor has a number of goals for the summit. He thinks it will be a good opportunity for the public to gather information and share ideas and thoughts on how to strengthen Iowa bullying laws.

The summit will also feature a video contest for students. Both middle and high school students are encouraged to participate. Videos should illustrate what their school is doing to prevent bullying.

Films will be judged by the public, beginning November 12th.
