DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL) -

One person is dead following a single vehicle accident in Dubuque County.

The accident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday in  the 7000 block of Old Highway Road.  

Police say 19-year-old Devon Slaats of Farley was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.  

They say the driver, 22-year-old Joshua Begle of Dubuque, was transferred to an Iowa City hospital while another passenger, 36-year-old Yvonne Slaats of Farley, was taken to a Dubuque hospital with minor injuries.  

The Dubuque Co. Sheriff's Office says charges are pending.
