The Iowa Valley Tigers and North Tama Redhawks entered Friday night's game with identical 3-and-1 records, with the Tiger's lone loss of the season coming last week against Gladbrook-Reinbeck.
But this homecoming night belonged to the Redhawks from the get-go.
In the first quarter, Senior Jacob Wrage, who can do it through the air and on his feet, took it in from five yards out for his fifth rushing touchdown of the season, giving North Tama a 7-0 lead just two minutes into the game.
Minutes later, after another short Redhawks drive, Wrage went upstairs to fellow Senior Jacob Watson for a touchdown to put North Tama ahead 14-0 after only four minutes of play.
Later in the first, Senior Dalton Hulme bulldozed his way into the end zone from 20 yards out to put the Redhawks up 21-0.
Still in the first, the Redhawks found themselves with the ball again and Wrage used his feet to take the ball in from 40 yards out for a 28-0 lead.
In the second quarter, Wrage went to the air again, this time to Damon Spencer to give the Redhawks a 35-0 lead.
Hulme added another rushing touchdown before the half to give North Tama a 42-0 halftime lead, and they went on to manhandle the Tigers by a final of 56-0.
North Tama takes their 4-and-1 record into Conrad next week to take on the BCLUW Comets.
