UPDATE: Vigil planned on two month anniversary of missing girls

Thursday afternoon, September 13 marks two months since 9-year-old Elizabeth Collins and 10-year-old Lyric Cook were last seen.

A vigil is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Countryside Vineyard Church in Evansdale. Due to the weather the location has changed to this inside location.

Organizers will be selling t-shirts, reading scriptures, and making new signs to hang at Meyers Lake in Evansdale, where the girls' bicycles were found.

Heather Collins, Elizabeth's mother, said they met with the FBI Wednesday, but there is nothing new in the investigation.

She said there are specific investigators working just on their case.

Heather and Drew still continue to plead for the return of their daughter and niece.

"God has forgiven you and we have forgiven you. Just return them home," Heather Collins said. "You do not need to do it anywhere where it is going to be taped, where you are going to have a camera on you. If that is what you worry about just drop them off anywhere at someone's house, they will get the girls back home safe."

Law enforcement is now asking if you were in the areas of Arbutus Avenue, Gilbert Drive and Elmer Avenue in Evansdale on July 13, the day the girls went missing, to please contact authorities.

Neighborhood canvasses have been done but anyone that has not talked to law enforcement is asked to call in.

A $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of anyone responsible for the girls' disappearance is still being offered.
