UPDATE: One man is dead after a house fire in Garwin

GARWIN (KWWL) -

The Tama County Sheriff's Office says that one man died after a house fire in Garwin Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were called to 519 Maple Street at 5:15 a.m.

Authorities say they found 53-year old resident John Roberts in the house, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators still don't know what sparked the fire.

Authorities do not suspect any foul play.
