Clermont remembers what happened on 9/11

On Tuesday, the nation paused to remember the September 11th terrorist attacks 11 years ago.

Memorial services are being held in Clermont. The Sheehan-Olson post 375 will honor those lives lost in the 9/11 attacks.

Tuesday morning, they rang all the bells in Clermont at each time the planes went down.

Tuesday evening the group will host the annual Patriot Day Memorial Service.

The program plans to honor those who have served our country and who plan to serve, as well as those soldiers' families.

"Plus, the lessons that we hopefully learned from 9/11, if we forget about 9/11 we will forget about those lessons and maybe it will happen again. We don't want that to happen," said Arthur Sullivan, Post Commander.

The service will be held at the historic Union Sunday School starting at 6:30.
