Cedar Rapids' Paramount Theatre closer to opening

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A historic Cedar Rapids building is one step closer to re-opening following the 2008 flood.

The marquee is being re-installed on the Paramount Theatre.

Crews began the process today and should finish Wednesday.

The sign was taken down for renovations in April.

It will light up once again in early October, ahead of the theater's October 26th ribbon cutting.

Harry Connick, Jr. will perform the first post-flood show November 3rd.
