CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A couple of familiar faces on NBC are spending their weekend on the campaign trail in Iowa.

Adam Scott and Rashida Jones from the NBC show "Parks and Recreation" met with volunteers at President Obama's campaign office Sunday in Cedar Rapids.

The two hope their visit encourages young voters to get active in the campaign.

"If it's something that you're passionate about and people like what you're saying, they feel like you're representing something that they're feeling anyway, then great," said Jones.

"It's great seeing all these young people come out and, you know, get active for what they believe in," said Scott.

Scott and Jones also stopped at campaign appearances in Cedar Falls Saturday and Iowa City Sunday.
