Powerful Waukon beats Columbus, 35-7.


The Waukon Indians took control early Friday night in a 35-7 victory over Waterloo Columbus at T. J. McLaughlin field at Columbus High School.

It was a 2A District opener for both teams. Waukon did all of its scoring in the first half.

Indians Quarterback, Parker Hesse, fired a touchdown pass to Austin Troendle to take a 7-0 lead.

Waukon's Junior Running Back, Marcus Weymiller scored back to back touchdowns to put Waukon up 21-0.

Senior Fullback, Cole Ewing, scored back to back touchdowns, as Waukon took a 35-0 lead at half. And went on to win 35-7, to remain undefeated. Columbus is 0-3 on the season. Watch the highlights.
