Falcons find redemption in Hudson

Longtime North Iowa Cedar League rivals Hudson and Aplington-Parkersburg are reunited in Class 1A District 3. Both the Pirates and Falcons entered Friday's game with identical 1-1 records.

The Pirates would look to reignite this rivalry with a win.

The Falcons would sport a new look Friday night as they were missing their decals on their helmets. After last weeks loss to Union the A-P coaches took the falcon decal off every helmet and now the players have to earn them back.

Aplington-Parkersburg would get on the board first with a touchdown run by Tyler Peters. The point after would fail and the Falcons would go up by six.

A little later in the first Falcon running back, Brady Frey would take the handoff and go 54 yards to the end zone. With the extra point, A-P would go up 13-0.

Still in the first Falcon quarterback Kollin Cuvelier would handoff to Frey who would bulldoze his way into the end zone from one yard out.

The Pirates would try to get something going late in the first quarter. Hudson quarterback Cameron Wright would air one out to Isaih Rustad and with great extension Rustad would make the grab. The drive, however, would stall.

In the second quarter, Tyler Peters would go around the end and take the ball to the pylon. With that score A-P would go up 33 to nothing.

The Falcons would get one more score before half and that would be your final.

The Falcons find redemption in Hudson as they win this one 40-0.
