UPDATE: Name released in Dubuque death investigation

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque police have released the name of the person found dead Thursday on Kaufmann Avenue.

Lieutenant Scott Baxter says 56-year-old Letha L. Birch was found dead at 272 Kaufmann Avenue on Thursday.

Birch's body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny.

Baxter says that investigators do not believe that the general public is in any danger related to this incident.

A funeral fund is set up at Du Trac Community Credit Union in Birch's name.
