BREMER COUNTY (KWWL) -

A car wreck killed one person Wednesday night in Bremer County.

It happened about a half mile north of the intersections of Highway 63 and Highway 93, just after 7:00 p.m., causing rescue crews to shut down the road.

Authorities say 44-year-old Terrance Ehler from Urbandale was headed south on Highway 63 when he crossed the center line and hit a semi. Ehler died at the scene.

The driver of the semi was 65-year-old Edward Shekelton of New Hampton. He suffered minor injuries.
