CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The collapsed Cedar Falls-based brokerage Peregrine Financial Group has approved a $20,000 raise for a company lawyer.

A judge overseeing the bankruptcy case of PFG approved the increase Wednesday.

General counsel Rebecca Wing's salary was raised to $400,000.

A trustee argued the increase was needed because Wing's knowledge would help liquidate the company's assets.
