Horse dies in crash near Hazleton

BUCHANAN COUNTY (KWWL) -

A woman is recovering and one horse is dead after an accident in Buchanan County.

Authorities say Lydia Danehy was driving on Jackson Avenue, south of Hazleton, at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when she hit a horse that was on the road.

Danehy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident had Highway 150 reduced to a single-lane of traffic for about 45 minutes.

The crash is still under investigation.
