Autopsy scheduled for man found dead in car after Des Moines crash

An autopsy is pending for a man found dead in a car that went into a pond at Water Works Park in Des Moines.

Authorities say 23-year old Mang Chang of Clive died in the crash that happened Monday morning.

A passerby noticed the partially submerged car in the pond, and was able to help rescue a passenger, 28-year-old Van To of Des Moines. To was taken to the hospital for his injuries. 

Police say Chang was driving through the park when his car hit a cement fixture, and then careened into the pond.
