Fairfield's Stutzman wins Paralympic silver


Fairfield native Matt Stutzman is a Paralympic silver medalist is archery.

Stutzman, who was born without arms, fell in the gold medal match to Jere Forsberg of Finland 6-4.  The 29 year old defeated Spain's Guillermo Rodriguez Gonzalez by the same score earlier in the day to reach the gold-medal match.

With no arms, Stutzman has to load and aim with his feet while drawing back the bow with his teeth.  In addition to his silver medal, he also holds the record for the longest shot on target, which includes able bodied athletes, at 230 yards.
