Wisconsin holds on to survive scare from UNI

MADISON, Wis. (KWWL) -

 

UNI rallied late but a tipped pass derailed the Panthers from upsetting Wisconsin as the Badgers held on to win the season opener for both teams 26-21.  UNI trailed 26-7 before mounting a comeback in Madison.  Two long TDs from Sawyer Kollmorgen to David Johnson drew the Panthers within 5 but on a 4th and 1 play the Badgers tipped a pass at the line of scrimmage, stopping the Panthers drive.  The Badgers then ran out the clock.
