Fayette man arrested after meth lab investigation

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a Fayette man after an investigation into a meth lab at Volga State Park.

Deputies arrested 45-year-old Robert Dean Doubek after a week long investigation.

According to the sheriff's office, Doubek was a person of interest in an anhydrous ammonia theft from a co-op in Elgin on August 24. 

They say after Doubek was arrested, a meth lab was found in Volga State Park.

Doubek is charged with manufacturing of Methamphetamine, possession of Anhydrous Ammonia and Lithium with the intent to manufacture and two counts of criminal trespassing.

If convicted, Doubek faces up to 22 years in prison.  He could get an additional five years for manufacturing a controlled substance in a state park.
