IOWA CITY (KWWL) -
Banners in downtown Iowa City promoting "happy hour specials" while using the tiger hawk logo were removed this week.
University of Iowa officials were in favor of banners cross promoting the school with Anheuser Busch, but officials did not realize the final versions of these particular banners would include language about drink specials.
Under the deal, University of Iowa Athletics officials must approve any sort of advertisement featuring the tiger hawk logo.
Despite the setback, University of Iowa officials are discussing the best way to advertise for the university and local businesses.
