WATERLOO (KWWL) -

According to Waterloo Police, three people who reported being stabbed in Waterloo early Tuesday morning have been arrested after breaking into a home and attacking the owner.

Capt. Tim Pillack says 37-year-old Milo David Rousseau, 17-year-old Branden James Boyer and 19-year-old Austin Gilbert Christian, showed up at the Covenant Medical Center Emergency Room around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday with stab wounds.  They claimed to be victims of a stabbing at an unknown location.

After an investigation, police say that the three people broke into 223 Letsch Street and were stabbed by the homeowner as they were assaulting him with a blunt object.

All three are from Cedar Falls. They were arrested and charged with first degree burglary and second degree robbery.

Pillack says the driver of the getaway car, 17-year-old Trevor Allen Kern, of Cedar Falls, has also been charged with first degree burglary and second degree robbery.
