President Obama visits Ames

Decision 2012 brought the President of the United States back to Iowa Tuesday - before a crowd of about 6,000 people on the Iowa State University campus in Ames.

He spoke about energy and biofuels, and also stressed the importance of voting to the students.  Many of the students will be voting for in the presidential election for the first time in their lives.

"It depends on you registering to vote. It depends on you showing up to vote. It depends on you refusing to wait for the next person or the person next to you in class, or the person in the next town, or a person in another state. It's going to depend on you to close that gap between what America is and what we know it can be. Because let me tell you, everybody else is waiting on you. When they see you register, they'll register. When they see you vote, they'll vote."

President Obama has stops scheduled in Des Moines and Sioux City on Saturday.
